it's been a long year, since we last spoke. hows your halo? just between you and i, you and me and the satellites, i never believed you. i only wanted to, before all this. what did i miss? do you ever get homesick? i can't get used to it, i can't get used to it. i'll never get used to it, i'll never get used to it

There has always been one thing about Matthew Andrew Bragg-Spencer that nobody could deny, and it's is that he's a jolly good fellow. Within minutes of being born he was smiling and laughing, not a tear in sight. Sure he had his moments as all babies and children do, but he was constantly smiling. And why not? Matthew had the love and attention of a wonderful family. His parents, James and Sharon, doted on he and his brother every chance they got. And his brother? There wasn't anyone that Matthew admired and looked up to more than his big brother, Michael. Every little brother wants to be like their big brothers, but it wasn't that Matthew wanted to be like him because the two had very different interests, but it was more so that Matthew wanted Michael to be proud of him.

At an early age, the family discovered that Matthew was musically inclined. His mother says she saw it when he was at the deli, banging on things as though they were drums, but his father says it was when he'd run around the house dancing and singing along to whatever was playing that you could see his passion. Whenever it was, when Matthew started kindergarten, he asked if he could go to some dance classes. One turned into two, and two turned four until finally, by the time he was 10, he was signed up for every class they had. He'd never thought much about anything outside of dance, but when the dance school went away to a summer camp, he tried out the guitar. His fingers found the chords with ease and with each strum he felt like something deeper inside him was coming alive.

His freshman year marks the start of when things changed for him. Both for the better, and the worse. When school started, he had joined a dance crew so that he could broaden his horizons, thus giving him a better chance at getting into Julliard. While things with the crew were going great, there was something not so great going on as well. It was no secret to anyone that Mike had changed, and it wasn't a good change. Matthew's sophomore year, Mike admitted to having a drug problem. That revelation shook Matthew's world. Mike had been perfect in his eyes and this proved that to be wrong. He questioned everything around him and considered quitting dance and starting everything from the ground up. If it weren't for Cassie, his then girlfriend, he probably would have. Though he knows that Mike never meant to hurt him specifically, he never really forgave him. Instead, he threw himself into dance and music. He worked on his audition piece for a year and when all was said and done it was worth it, and Matthew would attend Julliard. He didn't write or call to Mike in California and didn't bother inviting him to his graduation. He wanted to be the happy guy again, and if he buried all those feelings somewhere no one could find them, he would be, and was.

Four years later and Matthew, who is now just Matt, has returned home. A graduate, he's taken a job at SHPA. He expected all the usual faces to be back home when he got there, but what he didn't expect was for Mike to have returned as well. For the first time in six years, he'll come face to face with the ghost from his past. He's not sure how he'll handle it or when, but he knows that eventually he will have to talk to his brother. And if that weren't enough just before Matt came home, he took a trip to L.A for a dance show. He ran into Cassie and when one thing led to another, the two slept together. He still loved her, how could he not after they'd dated for so long, but things were different now and he was here and she was there. At least that's what he thought, until she came home. He's glad she's back, but what he doesn't know is that she's pregnant, with his baby.

remember that night among those same stars, we're in a red car you were sleep at my side. going in & out of the headlights, could i have saved you? would that have betrayed you? i want to burn this film, you alone with those pills what you couldn't do i will
